The Olivehouse at Kialla West (near Shepparton) was the stunning venue for James and Felicity's January wedding.

The olive grove is a lovely background for some stunning wedding photos, and the gorgeous Olivehouse was a delightful venue for James and Felicity's guests to relax and enjoy themselves on the magnificent verandas before their wedding reception.

Lions Park, Barham, NSW, on the bank of the mighty Murray River was the setting chosen by Jackie and Robert for their October wedding.

As you can see, the high water and beautiful red gums, and this unique bridge provided a stunning backdrop for their wedding ceremony and this wonderful family event.

Sarah and Duane chose the scenic gardens of the delightful Mitchelton Winery at Nagambie for their April wedding. With the Goulburn River flowing just below the manicured lawns, and magnificent river red gums in the background, Sarah and Duane's guests enjoyed every aspect of their stunning wedding ceremony.

Kirsty and Christian's Autumn wedding was celebrated on the P S Pride of The Murray as this grand old paddle steamer moved upstream on the high waters of The Murray River.

A truly beautiful way for this lovely young couple to begin married life.

Adam and Claira's February wedding day will become a family legend - not just for them, but for their wider community of family and friends as well. Torrential rain hit much of the state the afternoon before their wedding causing their rehearsal to be moved from the beautiful garden setting into the delightful Charlotte's Cottage B & B.

Even though the sun was shining on their wedding day, the almost unbelievable rainfall meant that some local roads were unpassable. Undaunted, Claira and Adam worked wonders in a very short period of time, and their beautiful wedding ceremony took place in the gracious dining room of Charlotte's Cottage amongst much love and support from everyone present.

Photos of Adam and Claira's wedding ceremony will soon be on this site. I guarantee you'll enjoy seeing this couple and their 'bare foot' celebrant (all shoes were left at the front door to protect the beautiful polished floors) surrounded by so much happiness that torrential rain, flooded roads and muddy gardens just didn't matter at all.

Luke and Heidi's January wedding celebrated their love in the midst of the worst flooding for decades. As we gathered on The Wharf at The Historic Port of Echuca for their beautiful wedding ceremony, the Campaspe River had broken its banks and was stealthily moving closer and closer to their Rochester home.

This courageous couple were not daunted and were an inspiration to all of us - and also to some of their guests who were unable to make it to their wedding because of the floodwaters that surrounded much of the local area. The story behind their wedding day will long be remembered and celebrated amongst their family and friends and will, I believe, be an inspiration for generations to come.

I hope to be able to have some of Luke and Heidi's wedding photos on display for you soon.

Nick and Sarah's beautiful wedding was held at The Aquatic Reserve on a bright sunny November Saturday afternoon.

Some of Nick and Sarah's guests had travelled from New Zealand and their presence really helped to make their wedding an extra beautiful family occasion.

Terrance and Sara's November wedding was planned as a surprise for their families and friends. Their guests arrived at Merool on The Murray for TA and Sara's engagement party and were delighted to be informed their wedding was about to take place. Not even the heaviest downpour for months could put a dampener on these celebrations!

The rain even stopped long enough for us to gather outside The Merool on Murray Function Centre for some great family wedding photos. A beautiful surprise wedding celebration organised by a wonderful couple.

Echuca's Aquatic Reserve was the location for Jo Anne and Jerry's beautiful afternoon wedding ceremony. Overnight rain and light morning showers cleared to give us one of the lovliest afternoons we could have hoped for.

As well as lighting their wedding candle, Jo Anne and Jerry lit a memorial candle for Jo Anne's parents and a very close friend. This tribute was a beautiful way to ensure memories of these very special people were present and part of Jo Anne and Jerry's wedding.

Jo Anne and Jerry's wedding was enhanced with light catering at The Aquatic Reserve ensuring their guests were able to enjoy the space of the beautifully presented park area before moving on to their Reception.

Billabong Chapel was chosen for Darren and Nikki's beautiful September wedding which coincided with the AFL Grand Final weekend.

Decorated for the occasion

The local weather was perfect and provided a glorious background for Darren and Nikki's colourful and stunning wedding. Not only were the formalities over before the final siren, somewhere there are a couple of photos of the bride and groom and their guests (and celebrant) in front of the big screen watching the last few seconds of the heart stopping game. Even though the footy couldn't be celebrated, Nikki and Darren's beautiful wedding was celebrated in style with their reception also being held at Billabong Ranch.

Andrew and Lisa's beautiful wedding took place on the family property 'Anglesea' at Yielima North in September. The recent rain ensured this rural area was looking a picture for their wedding ceremony and reception. Driving out to Anglesea was a pleasure for everyone as we came past golden canola crops, heavy headed wheat crops, lush paddocks, and roadsides lined with golden wattle.

In recognition of their farming heritage, Lisa and Andrew's wedding featured a grain blending ceremony where two grains, wheat and lupins, were combined to symbolise a new identity just as, with their marriage, Andrew and Lisa's new identity as husband and wife is now established.

Carefully Blending Two Grains - Wheat and Lupins

Look closely and you'll see a layer of Wheat, a layer of Lupins
and the uppermost layer is a combination of both grains - beautiful!

Even more symbolically for many of us, this young couple represents our farming future. And there could be no better way for them to start married life than to have their wedding day enhanced with and surrounded by the potential of one of the best agricultural seasons in recent memory.

Tracey and Scott held their beautiful evening wedding on one of our local houseboats. The top deck of one of Bella Casa's Houseboats, from Merool at Moama, NSW, was the picturesque setting for their wedding ceremony.

As the moon rose high above the Murray River, we could see the reflections of the red gums on the Victorian river bank in the almost still water.

What a fantastic place and time to begin married life. And just imagine, when the ceremony and the formalities were over, how wonderful it would have been to start the engine and then quietly cruise along this majestic river and enjoy the glorious surroundings.

Justin and Cindy chose the beautiful and historic Point Cook Homestead for their autumn evening wedding. Point Cook Homestead looks across Port Phillip Bay and with the Melbourne City skyline and the lights shining in the distance across the water, this was a truly beautiful place to begin married life.

Fiona and Jarrod's April wedding was blessed with one or two light April showers just before their ceremony on The Wharf at The Port of Echuca. The old saying, "Happy is the bride the rain falls on" certainly appeared to be true as Fiona was radiant with happiness when she and her bridal party joined Jarrod under the canopy on The Wharf.

Jolene's family had been working on the perfect place for Jo & Rob's April wedding for months on their Cainbable Creek property in Queensland. They tamed the original paddock, battled floods, landscaped the area and added a beautiful arched bridge over the creek. Then Jo's dad and a mate decided that the finishing touch would be a rustic Chapel, complete with authentic farming implements and eucaplypt saplings. The result? The perfect place for this wonderful young couple to begin their married life.
